Nawfal Hachim

One of Nawfal’s favorite experiences working with Community Initiatives was the staff’s volunteer clean-up at Lake Merritt in Oakland. “Nothing beats team bonding experience than stumbling upon all different items in the lake.”

He brings that community-oriented service mindset to his work with us, and was drawn to Community Initiatives because he understands the positive change our nonprofits create. From helping mothers in need, supporting immigrants who are pursuing higher education, to creating fair unbiased news outlets, Nawfal believes our projects have a major impact on our community.

“Community Initiatives has the ability to simplify the operations for the not-for-profit organizations we support by facilitating the administrative, legal, and financial aspects of their operations, which helps them focus more on their mission, which in turn, creates a substantial impact on the community they are serving, whether in the bay area, or anywhere else.”

A graduate of UC Santa Cruz, he is currently enrolled in the MBA program at the Lokey School of Public Policy at Mills College. Nawfal is originally from Casablanca, Morocco and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic. He enjoys watching and playing soccer, traveling, Capoeira, and riding his motorcycle through Grizzly Peak in the Berkeley Hills.
