A stable and established fiscal sponsor

In 1996, The San Francisco Foundation was inundated with nonprofit projects requesting fiscal sponsorship. The Foundation launched a new 501(c)(3) organization in response to that need and Community Initiatives was born. Today, we have over 100 active projects and we are more dedicated than ever to our mission of advancing a more vibrant, innovative, and effective nonprofit sector.
