Online Donation Capacity

Each fiscally-sponsored project of Community Initiatives may receive online donations through our website’s Support A Project page.

We know that it is hard for fiscally sponsored projects to find the time to vet the best technology platforms for their needs, and would rarely have the budget to create a customized solution. Well, CI takes project needs very seriously and has made a significant investment in time and money in partnering with the cutting edge web-based fundraising company: WeDidIt.

WeDidIt has a solid track record of working with some impressive nonprofits. As a start-up company, they too have invested in platform modifications that will meet the unique needs of the fiscal sponsor community.

WeDidIt offers a platform for all types of individual fundraising campaigns: peer to peer, crowdsourcing, and more. The platform provides projects with real time access to accounts and the data on campaign performance. According to Inc. Magazine, “the WeDidIt dashboard helps non-profits measure the ROI of their fundraising initiatives by comparing the effectiveness of every Tweet, Facebook post, and email the non-profit sends out.” Not only is this platform customized to the needs of projects, it is more effective than other donation platforms available. Nonprofits that have made the switch to WeDidIt from other platforms have seen, on average, a 15 percent increase in donations.

Customer Service & Technical Support
WeDidIt is committed to exceptional customer service with real time chat for technical support. They even have fundraising consultants available to help projects improve their fundraising methods. WeDidIt offer an extensive and growing library of training videos to help projects maximize their fundraising potential.

Webinar for Current Projects
WeDidIt co-founder, Ben Lamson conducted webinar with the CI projects to help every project fully understand the benefits of this new platform as a standalone fundraising site.

Setup Support for New Projects

License & Extra Services
CI has an umbrella license that enables all projects to access their own standalone fundraising site on WeDidIt, which can be modified to match key aspects of a project’s current website and fundraising goals. There are two optional customizations available at an additional cost to projects.

  • Projects can further individualize a standalone fundraising site for a flat fee of $250, paid to WeDidIt.
  • For support in the creation of a direct link between a project’s website and the fundraising page, CI has contracted with an independent web developer. The charge will vary depending on the parameters of a project’s current website.
“We looked at several fiscal sponsors before choosing Community Initiatives. In the course of my research, I heard from other projects about how responsive and supportive Community Initiatives staff was to their needs. That has certainly been my experience.”
